Koh Lanta Yai Island is the first place to access from Krabi by ferry. The island is quite long with over 20 kilometres and the west cost of Koh Lanta Island has 6 different beaches from the North to the South. Ko Lanta Island is a quite un-commercial island with a slow and relaxed pace.

The ferry, minivan and bus service will dock at Saladan Pier in the North of Koh Lanta Island. The second nearest airport is Trang 90 minutes by air from Bangkok . The Trang airport transfer to Lanta Sand Ko Lanta by van takes a little over 2 hours. It takes approx 4 hours by van to transfer from Phuket airport to Lanta Sand Resort & Spa on Koh Lanta Island.
